Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This document (“Privacy Policy”) explains what information (including personal data) we collect in connection with your use of our Services and/or access to our Site; for what purpose such information is collected; how we collect, use, and store such information; to whom it may be disclosed; and how you can exercise your rights and access your information, verify its accuracy, correct and/or have it erased.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties. Your data is protected and stays with us.
This Privacy Policy must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service. Together, these documents form a legally binding agreement between you and the Company. Unless otherwise stated, the terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning given to them in the Terms.
By visiting our Site, by submitting your personal data to us, and by accessing, installing and/or using our Services, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy or any provisions hereof, please do not use our Site and Services.
2. Account Data
When you create an account on our Site, we collect your email address. We will only send you emails that are required for the proper functioning of our Services. When you sign up, we will send you an email to confirm your email address. We will also send you an email whenever any purchase is made on our Site. We do not send newsletters to our clients and your email address is never shared with any third party.
As we rely exclusively on trusted third-party providers for payment processing, we do not collect or store any billing data. During checkout, you will be redirected to an external website operated by a third-party payment processor (e.g. Stripe) to complete the transaction. Specific personal data required for billing will be collected depending on the payment method you choose and may include information such as name, billing country, billing address, and/or credit card number. To understand what personal data these processors collect and store, please refer to the respective processor's terms and privacy policy.
3. Website Data
As most websites on the internet, our Site collects access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and operating system) to operate our Services and ensure their secure, reliable, and robust performance. This information is also essential for fighting against DDoS attacks, scanning, and similar hacking attempts.
For user experience and analytics purposes, our Site uses several analytics services, including from third-party Service Providers. These services may use cookies, mobile identifiers, and other data to generate reports and statistics, but have no access to information that directly identifies individuals nor any personal data that users provide to us.
You are free to change your cookie preferences and/or opt out of tracking at any time. For more information about these settings, please refer to the “help” section of your browser. Note that our Site may not work as intended if you choose to disable cookies.
4. Connection Data
By default, we try to store as little personal information as possible regarding the users connected to our Services. However some information is necessary for technical functioning of the Services. In particular, for devices connected to our servers we record:
- device type and Wallpunch App version number,
- connection time and duration,
- selected server location, and
- total sum of data transferred.
We use this information to limit the number of devices connecting from a single account simultaneously, to calibrate the network resources available in each server location, and to identify potential issues with our Service and provide support. This information is used for no other purposes, and is permanently deleted from our system within 48 hours.
5. Diagnostic Data
With your opt-in permission, we collect anonymized App Diagnostic Data, which includes crash reports, usability diagnostics, and connection diagnostics. We use this data to identify problems and areas for improvement in our Services. The information we receive is fully anonymized and cannot be tied back to individual users (i.e., we do not store which user sent which data, and we do not store user IP addresses).
Upon logging in to any of our Apps, you will be asked if you would like to share App Diagnostics Data with us. You can start or stop sharing this data at any time in your App’s settings menu. If you opt in to share this information, we will collect the following:
- information about if and how connections failed,
- connection performance data, and
- server connectivity data.
